As a Legal Intern, you will have the chance to work in one of our thirteen office locations, representing indigent clients in criminal cases and assisting with civil matters. This 12-week internship program is open to students who have completed their second year of law school and have taken a course in evidence.
Our interns play a vital role in our agency, with the opportunity to represent clients in court, negotiate cases, and assist with various legal proceedings. They also have the chance to work with experienced staff attorneys, gaining valuable insights and mentorship. Additionally, interns may receive a permit to appear in court and represent clients in misdemeanor matters under our state's student practice rule.

Our interns may also have the opportunity to work on child in need of aid cases, delinquency cases, and mental health commitment proceedings. While this internship is unpaid, we do provide round-trip airfare for our interns. We also offer flexibility in scheduling to accommodate academic commitments. Students may also have the opportunity to receive academic credit for their externship with us.
Our hiring process begins in September and continues until all positions are filled, which can be until the end of March or beginning of April. We encourage interested students to apply early in the hiring season to secure a spot.
