Responsibilities:
- Conduct factual and legal research and analysis related to healthcare laws and regulations and healthcare policy; draft contracts. - Draft and prepare memorandums, contracts, legal training presentations, policies, and other corporate documents. - Gain understanding of the UHS business model and how the Legal Department functions as part of the business. - Participate in department and other meetings to learn ongoing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Active enrollment in good standing in an accredited law degree program and beginning 2nd or 3rd year of law school in the Fall of 2024. - Minimum GPA of 3.00 - Healthcare experience preferred. - Working knowledge and competence using standard PC software programs, including Microsoft Office. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Self-starter who enjoys working in a team environment.
