Legal Executive Assistant - Corporate - Hybrid Role in Minneapolis, MN
DLA Piper is seeking a Legal Executive Assistant to support multiple lawyers in our Corporate practice. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and is located in our Minneapolis office. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional executive administrative experience and advanced computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but a high school diploma or GED is required. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple high priority projects. They must also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality and good professional judgment.
Responsibilities:
- Support multiple lawyers in the Corporate practice by completing major assignments and a variety of tasks. - Delegate administrative tasks and document work to other Legal Support Services team members and firm resources. - Exercise discretion and professional judgment with confidential and sensitive matters. - Plan and coordinate attorney Outlook calendars, travel itineraries, and other commitments. - Prepare materials and correspondence in advance for the partner's practice. - Interact with clients and outside business contacts. - Develop and maintain professional relationships and ensure efficient and effective teamwork. - Coordinate department or practice group meetings and prepare meeting agendas and materials. - Maintain filing systems and ensure compliance with Information Governance policies. - Oversee billing matters and monitor client budgets.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED. - Bachelor's degree preferred. - 5 years of professional executive administrative experience. - Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple high priority projects. - Strong work ethic and positive attitude. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate good professional judgment.
