Legal Counsel - Strategic Partner and Advisor for Business at Company in Windsor, Connecticut
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Counsel to join our team in Windsor, Connecticut. As a key strategic partner and advisor to the business, the Legal Counsel will provide legal advice in the areas of strategic litigation management, employment law, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of litigation experience and be a member in good standing in at least one state. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.
Key Responsibilities: • Provide legal advice to the company and its subsidiaries in the areas of strategic litigation management, employment law, and regulatory compliance. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to anticipate and address complex legal and business issues. • Develop workplace policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws. • Understand business requirements and risk tolerance to effectively guide escalations and take well-informed risks. • Stay informed of rules, regulations, and other statutory requirements relating to the company's business. • Share learning and experiences with team members.
Requirements: • JD from an accredited law school. • Member in good standing in at least one state. • Four years of litigation experience. • Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills. • Openness to adapting practice in response to evolving business needs. • Experience in litigation management, corporate governance, compliance, investigations, and labor & employment compliance matters. • Experience in a multinational environment. • Combination of law firm and in-house experience is strongly preferred.
