Job Title: Legal Counsel (Employment and Corporate) Location: Remote, Arizona, United States of America Salary: $165,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year Experience: Minimum four (4 ) years relevant industry or in-house experience
NTT DATA is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team in a remote position. The Legal Counsel will work under the supervision of the Vice President – Global Legal and be responsible for providing legal advice on employment and corporate matters in the US.
Responsibilities: - Provide legal advice on all areas of employment law, including the hire-to-retire lifecycle of an employee - Develop and implement best practices and policies to ensure compliance with regulations at local and international levels - Draft employment-related documents, templates, and HR policies - Conduct training for HR team on processes, regulations, and best practices - Manage employment-related litigation and internal employee relations investigations - Manage and conduct board meetings for entities in the Americas region and maintain corporate register and statutory books - Support mergers and acquisitions with due diligence and provide ad hoc support to the Portfolio Management team - Advise company management on complex matters and potential risks in contractual, regulatory, compliance, financial, and legal areas
Requirements: - Minimum four (4 ) years relevant industry or in-house experience - Strong experience and knowledge of employment laws in the US - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Business acumen and ability to combine legal and business analysis - Self-starter, well-organized, and able to work under pressure - Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team - Good understanding of cultural norms and practices in different regions - Current member of the legal bar in good standing - LLB Bachelor’s degree in law, Juris Doctorate degree, or equivalent - Good command of standard IT platforms - Willingness to travel internationally as required
