Responsibilities:
- Work closely with a legal team consisting of an Attorney and a Senior Paralegal. - Provide a broad range of administrative and operational support to assist the assigned legal team in effectively and efficiently managing their cases. - Set up new client files. - Communicate with various parties. - Manage medical bill payments. - Address client queries. - Conduct client reviews. - Handle client correspondence. - Manage case records. - Assist in PIP claims. - Ensure account balances are accurate. - Contribute to the outstanding results delivered for clients.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required, advanced education preferred, including paralegal certification. - Minimum of 2 years of legal assistant or professional office work experience required. - Competency working with the Microsoft Office Suite. - Preference given to those with experience in plaintiffs' personal injury. - Self-motivated and able to multitask. - Team-focused and client-oriented. - Detail-oriented with productivity and efficiency. - Strong writer with experience drafting correspondence. - Comfortable with talking to healthcare providers and clients. - Cover letter and salary requirements required for application.
Salary Information:
- Compensation based on local, national, and industry-specific data. - Evaluation of external equity and cost of labor/prevailing wages in the relative marketplace. - Competitive offers for new hires. - Hourly base pay range for a non-exempt Legal Assistant or Junior Paralegal in Western Washington is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. - Bonus-eligible position.
