We are seeking a Litigation Assistant to join our team and provide legal administrative onsite support for our office in Englewood, CO.
Responsibilities of the Legal Assistant include:
• Analyzing and processing data to ensure proper work flow • Providing administrative support to the Office Manager and attorneys • Utilizing internal software to update and document account status • Preparing documentation for attorney review • Filing pleadings with state-specific court systems • Answering incoming calls • Communicating effectively with team members and outside parties • Complying with standard operating procedures • Maintaining high quality of work and productivity
Requirements for this position include strong organizational and time management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a professional attitude. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of civil litigation procedures, previous experience in a law firm or financial institution, and debt collection or litigation experience.
Physical qualifications include the ability to lift five pounds or more, sit for extended periods of time, and bend and move as needed. Applicants must also be able to read and comprehend documents and communicate effectively in a common language. A flexible work schedule of at least 40 hours per week is required.
