Responsibilities: - Assists attorneys and paralegals with preparation of legal documents - Prepares for hearings, trials, and interviews - Maintains comprehensive client and matter information - Closes files and assists with accounts receivable collections - Utilizes CRM for events and client lists - Screens calls and visitors and directs inquiries to appropriate attorney - Performs clerical duties such as opening and routing mail, typing, filing, and record keeping - Researches case information - Files legal pleadings and documents with courts - Maintains and controls physical and electronic files for assigned attorneys - Schedules appointments and coordinates meetings - May serve as backup to other secretaries as needed - Contributes to a positive work environment
Requirements: - High school diploma or GED, some college preferred - 2 years legal assistant experience - Excellent MS Office skills - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills - Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and duties - Familiar with e-filing - Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality - Ability to meet with clients at various locations - Ability to consistently be at work and on time
Physical Requirements: - Normal, corrective vision range - Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear - Occasionally required to bend, reach, squat, and kneel - Ability to reach with hands and arms - Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Key Responsibilities: - Assist attorneys and paralegals with the preparation of a wide range of legal documents - Prepare for hearings, trials, and interviews by coordinating witnesses, exhibits, and basic research - Maintain comprehensive client and matter information in a central digital file - Close or direct closing of files and assist with accounts receivable collections - Utilize CRM for seminars, events, and holiday gifts and cards - Screen telephone calls and visitors, and direct inquiries to appropriate attorney - Perform clerical duties such as opening and routing mail, typing, filing, and record keeping - Research case information and file legal pleadings and documents with various courts - Maintain and control all physical and electronic files for assigned attorneys - Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and make travel arrangements - Serve as backup to other secretaries as needed - Contribute to a positive work environment
