About the Position:
Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced legal assistant to join our dynamic litigation practice in downtown Seattle. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and be detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide litigation support in civil litigation and personal injury cases - File and e-file pleadings and other legal documents with State and Federal courts, including the Court of Appeals - Maintain physical and electronic files - Prepare correspondence, type and proofread legal documents - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new software (NetDocs, Adobe, Docusign) - Manage calendars, including docketing, scheduling court dates, appointments, and meetings - Communicate effectively and coordinate with internal teams, clients, potential clients, other counsel, court officials, and messenger services
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation support (civil litigation and personal injury) - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading ability - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to learn new software quickly - Experience with maintaining calendars and managing deadlines - Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with various parties
