Department: OFFICE OF POLICY AND DOCKET MANAGEMENT
Salary Range: $5,624.00 - $6,892.00 (Monthly)
Experience Level: Minimum of 1 year as a paralegal, legal assistant, or legal secretary (certification from a formal Legal Assistant Program or Paralegal Certificate Program preferred)
Job Description:
- Perform routine to highly advanced legal assistant work in the Office of Policy and Docket Management - Research, analyze, investigate, and draft legal documents and orders - Assist agency administrative law judges with successful case management - Prepare papers for Commissioner's review before open meetings - Process new incoming cases and orders generated from open meetings - Send dockets to State Office of Administrative Hearings for hearings
Qualifications:
- Certification from a formal Legal Assistant Program or Paralegal Certificate Program - Minimum of 1 year work experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or legal secretary - Preferred experience in administrative law or utility law
