Law Firm Seeking Experienced Legal Administrative Assistant in New Haven, CT
Marshall Dennehey, a leading law firm, is currently seeking a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant with 1-3 years of civil defense litigation experience to join our team in New Haven, CT. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized and motivated individual to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform secretarial and clerical duties - Enter attorney time sheets into computer on a daily basis - Answer telephone, take messages, and refer calls to attorney - Transcribe dictation and prepare correspondence and legal documents - Maintain files and assist with filing - Schedule depositions and other meetings and appointments - Make travel arrangements for attorney - Maintain attorney diary system
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of defense litigation experience - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to manage heavy workload and work in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and co-workers - Excellent organization and typing skills - Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and multitask - Team player
Salary Information:
- Salary range: $60,000 - $65,000 - Equal pay opportunities for equal work regardless of gender, race, or any other category protected by federal, state, or local pay equity laws
