Legal Administrative Assistant Law Firm in Bloomington, MN Experience: 1-2 years in a law firm setting Salary: $22-$27/hour Job Type: Full-time Location: Bloomington, MN
Responsibilities: - Greet clients, offer refreshments, and assist with conference room clean-up - Answer and respond to potential client calls or emails, take detailed messages - Send and review intake forms/questionnaires, collect additional documents and information - Organize new files in Dropbox and Clio Grow - Schedule meetings and appointments for the team, make travel arrangements, and coordinate with outside vendors - Complete legal research under the supervision of attorneys and paralegals - Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines - Process client billing using daily time records - Ensure proper electronic file management with proper naming conventions - Proof and edit documents and correspondence for accuracy - Assist with updating pleadings and docket indexes for court cases - Keep track of court dates and deadlines - Maintain database hygiene and manage duplicates or bad records - Send documents for electronic signature and save signed documents - Navigate Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, LastPass, Dropbox, and other programs with ease
Qualifications: - 1-2 years of experience in a law firm environment as a secretary or administrative assistant - Strong organizational and communication skills - Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Familiarity with Microsoft Office products - High school diploma or equivalent required, associate’s degree a plus - Typing speed of at least 50 WPM - Experience with legal software, case management, and docketing programs
Compensation: $22-$27/hour. This is a full-time position located in Bloomington, MN.
