Work type: Full Time Administrative Location: Indianapolis, IN Categories: Administrative/Professional General Description of Position: Management of dual credit processes in assigned schools. This includes development of professional relationships with secondary school administrators, guidance counselors, secondary school instructors, college program chairs (or department heads), students and parents. Assist assigned schools in identification and implementation of dual credit pathways resulting in successful completion of certificates or degrees prior to high school graduation. Work closely with the transition team to bridge graduates into appropriate pathways after graduation. This position is part of a team of five individuals focusing on dual credit and works with a K-14 transition team. Major Responsibilities: Customer Service: * Demonstrate a strong customer service for student advocacy through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem-solving and desire to identify and support student success. * Engage in behaviors that create an inclusive environment in which all people are valued and supported. * Go beyond the easiest or surface answer for a student, or an internal or external customer, and get to the root cause of the problem, question or issue to solve it as quickly and professionally as possible. Duties and responsibilities: Management of Assigned Schools’ Dual Credit Courses Confirm approved instructors annually Providing documentation and tracking approval of new instructor credentials Provide documentation and tracking approval of new academic materials Provide annual training/communication to dual credit teachers and school champions on processes and timelines Provide training for Knowledge Assessment (including providing C#s for schools so that students can set up My Ivy) Become competent in DualEnroll.com and professional development modules for instructors and students to be served Assist schools in dual credit student application Collect and organize class rosters and student transcripts Provide assistance in data entry as needed Monitor progression for dual credit teachers in new online professional development Track requests for fee remission from dual credit teachers Track final grades for dual credit classes Provide annual reports and rosters for dual credit schools especially career centers Participate in implementation of Next Level Programs of Study for assigned schools . Identify opportunities for completion for transition team Provide support for transition events in assigned schools Support of K-14 Initiatives Participate in planning and implementation of annual Technology Day Identify and implement opportunities for dual credit instructors for professional development Participate in planning and implementation of summer programs for dual credit students when opportunity exists Participate in annual relevant conferences related to K-14 Initiatives Serve on interview teams for K-14 when need exists Provide support at school transition events and college nights Serve as the K-14 liaison with an assigned Ivy Tech ‘School’ (such as the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education or the School of IT , etc.) Serve as a volunteer in college endeavors Provide support for admission events The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list.
