The lawyer will join a tech-centric business law firm that specializes in AI, FinTech, Robotics, IoT, AdTech/MarTech, Healthtech, CleanTech, BioTech, and e-commerce. The ideal candidate must have exceptional insight, agility, and genuineness.
## Responsibilities
* Serve as an enabler of each client’s goals, a trusted navigator on their journey * Figure out, drive results, and make a difference * Establish productive relationships with internal teammates and with external client teams * Convey actionable advice, advising on potentially a wide array of issues, including privacy matters, negotiating contracts, and handling anything else that requires legal guidance * Do a little of everything - We’re a small team and so there are opportunities to try lots of new things!

## Requirements
### Minimum Qualifications
* Graduation from an accredited law school * Active license with the state bar of Virginia (or commitment to obtain)
### Preferred Experience
* Knowledge of a lot of things, and comfortable learning new things * Ability to give practical advice without having complete information * Ability to break down complex issues into smaller issues and create logical progressions through them * Ability to work well with other subject matter experts * Self-starter who is comfortable working independently
### Nice to Have
* Prior experience in BigLaw * Prior experience in-house * Well-developed personal and professional networks * Other business-related experience such as having run a startup, worked in consulting, or completed an MBA program * Excellent educational credentials
## Salary
Target compensation is $80,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on experience, with higher salaries available for senior and very senior lawyers (especially with portable business).
