Law Firm Controller (Hybrid Remote): Manage Financial Operations for Leading Law Firm

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial management role, with law firm experience preferred - Strong understanding of legal billing, trust accounting, and law firm financial operations - High level of integrity and professionalism, with a strong attention to detail - Experience supervising and managing an accounting team - Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems, preferably Quickbooks Online - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary based on experience ($150k to $190k base) and a comprehensive benefits package, including generous vacation and leave policies, fully employer-paid employee health benefits, and an employer-contributed 401(k) plan.
Responsibilities:
As the Law Firm Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing all financial activities and reporting for the firm, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis - Managing day-to-day transactional accounting, including AP, AR, month-end, financial reporting, reconciliations, and payments - Overseeing and executing financial systems, including billing, trust account management, bookkeeping, expense management, audits, and taxes - Coordinating and overseeing the firm's payroll processes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and benefit administration - Developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls to maintain financial integrity - Collecting records of expenses and costs advanced to clients and updating the case management and accounting systems accordingly - Managing banking relationships and cash flow to ensure financial stability - Daily monitoring of bank account balances, credit card accounts, deposit accounts, and trust accounts - Managing annual application and renewals of insurance policies - Working in coordination with the firm's CPA for finalizing all quarterly and year-end reports for tax preparation - Managing vendor relationships and renewals of office equipment contracts
