Law Clerk for Department of Public Advocacy in Princeton, KY - $50,004 Annually
The Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy (DPA) is seeking a Law Clerk to join their criminal defense team in the Princeton Trial Office. This is a full-time position within the Executive Branch, eligible for overtime pay and offering 37.5 hours per week.
DPA is a nationally recognized public defender system with a strong emphasis on training and education. Their goal is to ensure fairness in the criminal justice process and protect individual liberties.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing support to attorneys through legal research and writing - Conducting client interviews - Performing duties in both office and courtroom settings - Required travel
Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of 24 semester hours at an ABA accredited law school - No prior experience, training, or specific skills required - No substitutes for education or experience - No special requirements for age, licensure, or regulation
