The Cabinet for Health and Family Services in Kentucky is seeking a Law Clerk (Interim) to join our team and assist with the development and implementation of medical cannabis regulations. This is a temporary position with a duration of less than nine months, exempt from the classified service under KRS 18A.115.
Responsibilities of this role include conducting legal research, investigating facts related to medical cannabis cases, drafting regulations and legal guidance materials, and attending legislative and regulatory hearings. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail-oriented approach to legal documentation.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have completed twenty-four semester hours at an American Bar Association accredited law school. No prior experience is required, but a demonstrated interest in public health or regulatory compliance is preferred.
