Law Clerk - Entry Level Position at Growing Law Firm in Baltimore, Maryland
Albers & Associates, a reputable and growing law firm with offices in Westminster, Timonium, Dundalk, and Baltimore, is seeking passionate and hardworking law clerks to join our team. As a law clerk, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases in different practice areas, including criminal, family, estate, and personal injury matters. This position is open to current law school students and can be either part-time or full-time.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and screen clients - Conduct preliminary and subsequent interviews with clients - Schedule appointments and hearings - Perform factual investigation and legal research - Assist in preparing legal documents and correspondence - Develop case strategies for client representation - Other duties as assigned by supervising attorneys
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills - Proficiency in computer skills and case management systems like Clio - Ability to draft correspondence with attention to detail - Willingness to work in all legal areas - Empathetic and able to assist distressed clients - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment - Commitment to professionalism, responsiveness, and results
