American Tower is seeking a highly motivated and organized Intern to join our Land Acquisition team for the Summer 2025 program. As a Land Acquisitions Intern, you will support our Corporate Development team in identifying and evaluating potential real estate acquisitions and investments to enhance our portfolio. This is a 12-week intensive program designed to provide hands-on experience and valuable insights to prepare you for a successful career in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Intake and audit potential deals to ensure they meet financial hurdle rates and necessary assumptions. Perform valuations for land and real estate acquisition opportunities using established financial models. Utilize our CRM tool to set up projects, enter data, generate approval requests, monitor milestones, and perform close-outs. Assist in identifying potential landlords and sellers to initiate new acquisition opportunities. Participate in negotiator training, shadowing, and deal review with management. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Interest in the wireless tower industry, real estate, finance, or law. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tasks in a high-volume environment. Comfortable participating in professional meetings with employees at various levels. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and basic Excel functions; experience with Salesforce and Oracle is a plus.
