Overview:
Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Labor & Employment Partner for its Walnut Creek, CA office. The ideal candidate will have at least 8-15 years of experience in employment law matters and be admitted to practice in California. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are proactive and passionate about assuming a high-level role in a sophisticated practice.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all phases and types of employment litigation, counseling, and training - Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings - Draft and argue motions - Take and defend depositions - Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment - Work independently and as part of a team - Have extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel
Qualifications:
- Admitted to practice in California - 8-15 years of experience in employment law matters - Prior employment litigation experience (preferably on the management side) - Experience handling single plaintiff employment claims, PAGA, Wage & Hour, and FEHA matters - Employment counseling or in-house employment law experience preferred - Strong writing and analytical skills - Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
