Summary: The law firm is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Labor & Employment Client Service Specialist to join our team. This individual will provide administrative support to a team of attorneys, utilizing their knowledge of labor and employment law. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities: • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to ensure smooth communication and transfer of information • Manage client-specific data, both electronic and paper files • Prioritize incoming tasks and coordinate with other support services to meet deadlines • Prepare legal documents, memoranda, and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail • Assist multiple attorneys as needed and provide backup coverage • Transmit legal documents to clients, witnesses, and court officials via electronic filing, email, mail, and messenger • Process new business requests and maintain accurate client case files • Manage case calendars and deadlines
Collaboration and Teamwork: • Work proactively with Legal Team Assistants to complete tasks • Collaborate with resources, including the Attorney Resource Center, to complete projects and tasks • Adhere to all firm policies, procedures, and guidelines while maintaining confidentiality
Qualifications: • Associate's degree preferred, Bachelor's degree a plus • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience at a law firm or legal/corporate department • Ability to gather and summarize data, find solutions to administrative problems, and prioritize work • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • High level of interpersonal skills and professionalism • Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide outstanding customer service • Proficiency in legal terminology and experience in labor and employment law • Experience with administrative agency filings and meeting deadlines • Knowledge of e-filing pleadings in state and federal courts • Proficient in using office equipment, such as computers, printers, and copiers • Keyboarding skills of 60 wpm or higher
Work Environment & Physical Demands: • This job operates in a clerical, office setting • Physical requirements include exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 pounds • Visual acuity is required for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal
