Lozano Smith, a leading public agency law firm in California, is currently seeking a highly skilled labor and employment attorney with experience in public agency law to join their San Diego office. The firm provides counsel to numerous public school districts and other public agencies throughout the state, covering all aspects of labor and employment law.

Salary Information:
- Competitive salary range: $140,000 - $225,000 per year
- Additional benefits and bonus programs offered

Job Title: Labor & Employment Attorney - Lateral

Experience Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing
- 5 years of employment law experience, preferably in education law, public agency law, or related areas
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for advocating for educational institutions and public agencies

Responsibilities:
- Providing counsel on hiring and employment contracts, collective bargaining, grievances, discrimination, retaliation, misconduct, layoffs, discipline, and dismissals
- Representing clients in administrative hearings
- Conducting legal research and writing legal documents
- Communicating with clients, colleagues, and other parties involved in cases

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing
- 5 years of employment law experience, preferably in education law, public agency law, or related areas
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for advocating for educational institutions and public agencies
