Knowledge Management Attorney – Exciting Full-Time Opportunity with Global Law Firm!
Summary:
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a top-ranked global law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Knowledge Management (KM) Attorney to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and excellent benefits. The KM Attorney will play a critical role in supporting our Corporate Practice Group and collaborating with clients from a variety of industries across the country.
Position Overview:
In this role, the KM Attorney will work closely with the Corporate Practice Group to create, update, and manage knowledge assets. This includes preparing, updating, and communicating changes related to precedents, forms, and processes to ensure high-quality, current, and accessible information. The KM Attorney will report directly to the Director of Knowledge Management and collaborate with the Innovation and Research teams to enhance efficiency and leverage collective knowledge effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, draft, update, and maintain standard forms, templates, and knowledge resources for the Corporate Practice Group - Coordinate peer review of changes to documents and transactional procedures - Select, collect, and organize reference materials on internal sites and databases - Design and optimize processes for creating, capturing, and organizing legal knowledge - Effectively communicate availability, updates, and location of resources - Integrate knowledge management into daily activities of attorneys and staff - Participate in training initiatives and collaborate with the KM Department to develop solutions for increased efficiency and better legal service delivery - Share best practices and knowledge in KM Department meetings - Support business development efforts, including thought leadership initiatives, client seminars, and pitches
Skills and Competencies:
- Expertise with law firm research and innovation tools such as Westlaw Precision, Lexis , and Lex Machina - Proficiency in facilitating and presenting training programs - Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills - Self-starter with ability to work independently and manage multiple projects - Excellent project management skills - Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and collaborate in a team environment - Attention to detail and time management skills - Problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative - Commitment to providing outstanding client service
Qualifications and Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal or knowledge management role - Strong understanding of legal concepts and procedures - Experience in M&A, Private Equity, Capital Markets, Corporate Governance, Investment Management, or Private Funds preferred - Proficiency in knowledge management tools and technologies - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
