Job Description
This individual will work with senior level personnel in analyzing business processes and workflows to determine best methods of inserting/utilizing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and other Automated Identification Technology (AIT) into complex information systems. · Install hardware/software solutions, troubleshoots/repairs issues and trains customers on technology packages. · Stay abreast of current and emerging trends in RFID technology in general, and has significant familiarity/experience with product offering within the industry Determine/develop project and system requirements (Direct Supervision) Support software development efforts with necessary hardware integration efforts (Minimal Supervision) Support system implementation and testing (Minimal Supervision) Develop comprehensive and detailed system training documents (Minimal Supervision) Physical installation of servers and portals to include administration setup and training (Minimal Supervision) Establish and document comprehensive configuration management files (Minimal Supervision) Provide technical support and perform user demonstrations (Minimal Supervision) Maintain internal RFID equipment and RF test equipment (Minimal Supervision Job Requirements : Must Have: 2 years of experience with passive and active RFID hardware, concepts and operations 2 years of experience in Wireless Networking (Wireless LAN) Experience in using site survey utilities and test equipment for both RFID and Wireless LAN installations Ability to methodically diagnose & troubleshoot network & RFID systems Willing to submit to personal background and citizenship checks required for access to some facilities Good communication skills (verbal and written) · Willing to travel up to 40% or more of the time Desirable: 2 years of experience in Local Area and Wide Area Networking(LAN/WAN) Familiarity with 1D and 2D optically scanned symbologies · Basic understanding of AC and DC electrical systems To submit your resume for this job, select how you heard about the job and then click the "Submit Your Resume" button below.
