The Role:
The Junior Paralegal at BurgerFi International LLC will be responsible for assisting the Legal Department in various tasks related to corporate record maintenance, contract and franchise management, risk management, and litigation tracking. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of paralegal experience and must be a notary public (online certification preferred).
Responsibilities:
- Process, track, and file franchise and real estate agreements following company procedures - Coordinate dissemination of documents to various departments within the company - Support the Legal Department in the new contract management process being developed by the company - Assist with corporate governance matters, including creating and maintaining corporate entities and filing annual reports - Maintain integrity of legal files by reviewing and organizing documents - Prepare and update litigation lists and assist with subpoenas and discovery requests - Assist with risk-related incidents, insurance claims, and litigation - Support special projects as needed, such as M&A and drafting correspondence - Assist with Intellectual Property matters, including obtaining pictures and updated materials - Identify and implement process improvements within the Legal Department and with other departments - Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and provide administrative support to executives - Handle notary public duties and other general administrative tasks when necessary
Must-Haves:
- At least 2 years of paralegal experience - Notary public certification (online certification preferred) - Strong time management and organizational skills - High attention to detail - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks - Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Good communication skills
