Law Firm Seeking Junior Associate for Health Care and General Privacy Counseling
Are you a privacy law expert looking for a new opportunity? Fenwick & West, a Chambers-ranked law firm, is seeking a Junior Associate with 2-4 years of experience in health care privacy and other areas of privacy law. Join our team and help clients in the technology and life sciences industries navigate complex privacy issues.
Position Overview:
As a Junior Associate at Fenwick & West, you will work with a team of experienced attorneys to provide comprehensive privacy counseling to clients. This includes advising on product development, drafting privacy policies and agreements, conducting compliance assessments, and more. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, from startups to market leaders, in exciting areas such as digital health care, artificial intelligence, and cryptocurrency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on privacy issues related to product development and services - Draft and update privacy policies, procedures, and other related documents - Conduct privacy compliance assessments - Investigate and remediate privacy and security incidents - Draft notifications for privacy and security incidents - Negotiate privacy-related contracts and data processing agreements - Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and international privacy laws and regulations
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in health care privacy and other areas of privacy law - Strong understanding of HIPAA/Healthcare Privacy, consumer privacy, and other federal and state privacy laws - Experience with drafting privacy policies and negotiating privacy-related contracts - Superior academic credentials - Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills - California or District of Colombia bar membership (or eligibility to take the next available exam)
