Judicial Law Clerk I - Family Division: A professional legal research assistant position supporting judges in the Family Court Dependency Division of the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania. This is a full-time, on-site position with a minimum education requirement of a college degree.
Organization: The First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, part of the Unified Judicial System reporting to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Salary Range: $56,683 - $62,360 (G49)

Essential Functions: - Conduct legal research for briefs and opinions - Search and study legal records and documents - Maintain case files and correspondence
Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of the justice system - Familiarity with legal research techniques - Ability to prepare legal documents - Strong communication and relationship-building skills - Experience with Lexis/Nexis
Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited law school - Good academic background - Writing and analytical skills - Ability to perform essential functions of the position - Membership of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania not required, but must be in good standing if currently a member
