Kodiak Support Services, JV (KSS), a Joint Venture of Inuit Services, Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, is seeking a Janitor in Kodiak, AK to perform daily Janitorial services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Clean and keep in an orderly condition USCG working areas and washrooms, or premises of an office, apartment house, or commercial or other establishment. Sweep, mop, strip, scrub, and polish floors. Remove debris, trash, and other refuse. Dust equipment, furniture, or fixtures; deep cleaning carpets, polishing metal fixtures or trimmings. Provide supplies and minor maintenance services. Clean lavatories, showers, and restrooms. Use equipment (i.e. vacuum cleaner, buffer, carpet and shampoo machine). NON - ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements : QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURE Required: High School Completion or GED Equivalent. Understanding of MSDS System and use of chemicals & disinfectants. Valid Commercial Alaska Driver’s License Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be able to clearly communicate (orally and written) in the English language Must pass a pre-employment urinalysis & background check Must have good documentation and organizational skills Must be able to respond to calls for work outside of normal working hours Must be able to work any shift, including day shift, after hours, nights, and weekends. Must be insurable to operate government owned vehicles. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations. This position may be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing on an unannounced basis. Job is performed in a modern office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system.
