Job Title: Investigator (Hybrid) - Fayetteville, North Carolina
Introduction: Ricci Law Firm, a leading personal injury law firm in North Carolina, is currently seeking an experienced Investigator to join our team in Fayetteville. We are looking for a detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate individual to support our attorneys in handling personal injury, workers’ compensation, and liability cases.
Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough investigations for motor vehicle accidents, workers’ compensation, and property liability claims. - Review and interpret DMV-349 crash reports and other law enforcement records. - Conduct witness interviews, obtain statements, and gather relevant facts. - Perform scene investigations, including photography, measurements, and canvassing for witnesses or surveillance cameras. - Submit public records requests, such as FOIA, court, DMV, and medical records. - Utilize tools like Accurint, Westlaw, and internal case management systems. - Conduct social media investigations. - Visit clients to obtain signatures and deliver documents. - Prepare affidavits, exhibits, and legal forms. - Maintain accurate records and adhere to privacy regulations. - Drive up to 200 miles per week and occasionally up to 1,000 miles for special assignments. - Be available for after-hours or weekend surveillance tasks.
Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of private investigation experience OR 4 years of law enforcement, military police, or intelligence background. - Basic knowledge of civil law and liability. - Proficiency with digital cameras, audio recorders, and computers. - Strong critical thinking, communication, and reporting skills. - Must possess a valid NC driver’s license. - Clean criminal record and professional background. - Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, but not required. - Experience with legal software like Litify, Clio, Needles, etc. is a plus.
Schedule: - Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends for special assignments. - Travel required throughout the Fayetteville region and nearby areas.
