The Internal Auditor II - Information Technology works with the relevant Internal Audit Directors and Internal Audit team members to continuously define and outline the analytics best needed for the audits conducted by the Internal Audit organization. Develops the necessary analytics to support Internal Audit engagements, and supports the Internal Audit team members as appropriate in the interpretation and clarification of analytics output. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE IT AUDIT EXPERIENCE and the ability to be responsible for analyzing and assessing a company's technological infrastructure to ensure processes and systems run accurately/efficiently, while remaining secure and meeting compliance regulations. Must be able to present and support analytics results and conclusions to leadership functions.
*Identify and acquire the necessary data from relevant source systems used by Internal Auditors to develop the data analytics needed to support the Audit team *Work with Internal Audit team members, IT, and the Business to outline data requirements, and obtaining the necessary accesses to acquire data *Publish analytics results to the Internal Audit teams, and provide support / training as necessary to interpret and refine the results of the analytics provided *From time to time, conduct financial, operational, and IT internal audit projects according to the Internal Audit plan, performing fieldwork *Work with Internal Audit teams for analytics which can be performed during fieldwork activities *Prepare and present to all levels of management the results, recommendations, and conclusions of analytics which may be performed *Perform ad-hoc analytics requests MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required; Accounting, Finance or other business major preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Three years of progressively responsible internal audit or other accounting experience with at least one year minimum internal audit experience (healthcare preferred). Experience auditing information technology systems and infrastructure is strongly preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: Working toward professional designation of CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner).
OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Effective interaction and communication with all levels of management and employees throughout Carilion to accomplish audit tasks. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work with minimal supervision. Collaborative problem solving skills, ability to work well with all levels of employees. Working use of Word and Excel or comparable software.
