Simms Showers LLP, a growing law firm with an AV rating, is currently seeking a part-time intern for their offices in Leesburg, VA, Williamsburg, VA, Winchester, VA and Baltimore, MD. This intern will work in-office for 15-20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer, starting in September 2021. The position is available for the fall and spring semester of 2021-2022, with the potential to continue through the summer and beyond. This is a great opportunity for a student interested in law to gain hands-on experience and learn from experienced attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Filing and organizing legal documents into correct client folders - Scanning and archiving old client folders to be saved in our database - Answering and directing phone calls to the correct recipient - Mailing and/or filing legal documents for various attorneys at the Loudoun County Courthouse - Possible legal research projects for various attorneys - Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Interest in law preferred, but no experience required - Must be able to commit to at least one year, with the option to continue beyond - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
