Work type: Part Time Hourly - Temporary Location: Anderson, IN Categories: Student Workers General Description of Position: The Content Creation Specialist intern assists in the development and execution of existing and new communication plans to engage with the Ivy Tech Community College – Anderson Campus demographics. This individual will collaborate on marketing strategies to enhance awareness of the Ivy Tech-Anderson brand and create content for the various Ivy Tech-Anderson social media accounts. Our internship provides an opportunity to work with a team of professionals to gain knowledge in content creation and get practical hands on experience. Content Creation Specialist Intern will be a part-time position, with approximately 20 hours a week paying $20 her hour. Our business hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday - Friday. You’ll be expected to be in office a minimum of 15 hours per week with the ability to flex time as needed, with the option of 5 hours per week remote work. Major Responsibilities: Creating content (fliers, social media posts, signage, digital ads, etc.) on services like - Canva Pro Adobe Pro Software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, etc.) Writing, updating, and managing content for website, social media pages, and campus blog Take photos and videos at campus events Copy writing for email/text campaigns and social media posts Work closely with internal Ivy Tech personnel to coordinate overall recruitment opportunities effectively. Such personnel may include marketing departments, K-14 coordinators, career readiness department, academic affairs, college activities board, etc. Assist with the development of admissions and recruitment related materials and disseminate such materials in coordination with other regional and statewide communications and recruitment efforts Conduct all activities within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Minimum Qualifications: Current college student pursing a degree in Communication, Marketing, PR, or other creative programs Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects Must possess excellent “people” skills including working successfully with diverse populations, including (but not limited to) college and school personnel, teachers, and prospective students Must possess skills and experience in creating copy and creative that maintains the brand image Previous content development/editing experience required but proficiency not required or expected Experience with Adobe Suite software, or other similar editing software, proficiency not required or expected Experience with major social media platforms Preferred Qualifications: Other Requirements: Work Hours: Hiring Range: Team Ivy Referral: Special Instructions to Applicants: Advertised: 04 Apr 2023 US Eastern Daylight Time Applications close:
