The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Law, Legal Studies or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience providing patent litigation and negotiation support in US federal courts and before the International Trade Commission. The position also requires experience with the Japanese patent system, including the Japanese Patent Office, and negotiating patent licenses with Japanese entities.
Key Responsibilities: - Research and analyze technical and legal positions for ongoing patent litigation matters - Advise clients on patent portfolio development and maintenance - Handle complex patent disputes involving consumer products and services - Develop patent licensing strategies and provide support for patent litigation and settlement negotiations - Connect with Japanese companies for business development in patent litigation and negotiation - Work with clients on patent licensing and litigation matters
Requirements: - Master's degree in Law, Legal Studies or a related field - 3 years of experience providing patent litigation and negotiation support - Experience with the Japanese patent system and negotiating patent licenses with Japanese entities - Admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia or another US state or territory
Salary: The salary range for this position is $225,000.00 to $435,000.00 per year.
