Responsibilities:
- Analyze insurance and reinsurance policies and provide detailed coverage opinions - Review complex insurance contracts and assess related legal issues - Communicate with clients to provide clear and strategic coverage recommendations - Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents - Manage litigation caseloads, including depositions, court appearances, and motion practice - Conduct in-depth legal research and respond to regulatory inquiries - Maintain strong client relationships and adhere to client guidelines - Record and maintain billable hours while meeting deadlines
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Admission to practice in the State of New York and New Jersey - Federal Court experience is a plus - At least 5 years of experience in insurance coverage or related fields - Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills - Experience with written discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation - Insurance defense experience is a plus
