Job Title: Insurance Coverage Attorney Location: Garden City, NY Experience: Minimum of 3 years
Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady, a multi-office and multi-state law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join their team in Garden City, NY. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for growth and advancement within the firm. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in insurance coverage, with the ability to handle complex and challenging legal issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing insurance policies and providing coverage opinions - Drafting pleadings, motions, and written discovery - Communicating with clients and providing coverage recommendations - Conducting legal research and attending depositions, court appearances, and motion practice - Maintaining an excellent relationship with clients and complying with all client guidelines - Ensuring all deadlines are met and accurately recording billable hours
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Admitted to practice in the State of New York (PA, NJ, and/or CT admission is a plus) - Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage or similar insurance experience (reinsurance, regulatory) - Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills - Federal Court experience is a plus - Ability to handle a caseload independently and with supervision - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Salary Information:
- Salary range: $35.00 - $70.00/hr ($72,800.00 - $145,600.00 annually) - Salary is commensurate with experience and skill set - Position offers benefits, including health, life, short-term and long-term disability, 401k, flexible work, and paid time off
