The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** (MIRC) is seeking a Paralegal to join their team and assist in providing legal services to low-income immigrants in the Detroit area. This is a full-time position with a starting salary range of $46,350 - $65,150 based on years of relevant experience. The successful candidate must pursue DOJ accreditation within six months of starting the role, and will receive full support from MIRC in the process. MAP also has a generous leave policy, allowing staff to accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation in the first year, 15 paid holidays, and a 401K retirement plan with employer match for eligible staff after 6 months of employment. MAP is also a qualifying employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree or commensurate professional experience, with a preference for a bachelor’s degree. Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required, as well as a demonstrated commitment to protecting the rights of immigrants and individuals in poverty. The candidate must also be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and proficient in major software and web services such as Word, Excel, and G Suite.
