Holland & Knight, a top law firm, is seeking a talented IT Financial Software Applications Developer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand user needs and draft initial proposals and designs for software applications. - Assess feasibility of design and project parameters within time and cost constraints. - Analyze user needs and design software for client use. - Develop code and design software applications based on user specifications. - Modify existing software to correct errors or improve performance. - Monitor and assist with software testing and validation procedures. - Install software and ensure it operates within established specifications. - Gather and evaluate user feedback to improve software usability. - Design and maintain SQL databases and procedures for specific application areas. - Determine system performance standards and hardware configurations based on client specifications. - Collaborate with other team members to design systems that support required applications. - Advise clients on software maintenance. - Undertake special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a software developer or engineer. - Proficient in C#, with a good knowledge of the .NET ecosystem including ASP.NET and Entity Framework. - Experience with HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript. - Solid understanding of MS SQL Server and proficiency with T-SQL or other SQL dialects. - Exposure to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or equivalent technology and experience with programming stored procedures using TSQL. - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and various design and architectural patterns. - Understanding of fundamental database schema design principles. - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git). - Results-driven with a history of producing high-quality work. - Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and handle competing priorities. - Dedicated to providing exceptional service. - Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver creative solutions. - Ability to manage multiple internal clients and adapt to their needs. - Experience in a technical role in a law firm or professional services firm is ideal but not required. - Advanced communication skills, including active listening, clear and concise writing, and professional speaking. - Ability to adapt communication style to address a variety of audiences. - Demonstrated ability to prioritize work effectively and complete objectives on time with minimal supervision.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
