Job Description:
We are seeking an IP litigator to join our Trial & Appellate Group (TAG) and help us protect our clients’ valuable assets. As an Associate in TAG, you will have access to supportive mentors and opportunities for growth and development as a legal professional. Our firm is consistently ranked in the top 10% of all firms in ITC activity and has a strong presence in the Federal Circuit and district court patent activity.
Position Details:
- Full-time, hybrid position with regular in-office presence in our Washington, D.C. office. Flexibility may be considered for the right candidate. - Good faith base salary range of $225,000 to $310,000 for a 2000 hour billable commitment. - Flexible hours program with a billable hour goal range of 1400 to 2000 hours. - Eligibility for bonuses for candidates who join us directly from federal clerkships.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research, draft documents, and prepare arguments for court presentations. - Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and arguments. - Assist in the preparation and management of complex intellectual property litigation cases. - Work closely with the litigation group and experts from other practice groups to provide strong representation for our clients.
Qualifications:
- JD and actively licensed as an attorney in a U.S. jurisdiction. Must be eligible to waive into the D.C. Bar or be willing and eligible to sit for the D.C. bar exam. - 1-4 years of experience practicing patent and/or IP litigation at another law firm. - Strong foundation in IP and patent law. - Stellar academic credentials. - Previous clerkship experience is highly desired. - USPTO registration number is desirable, but not required.
