Job Description
As an IP Docketing Specialist at Duane Morris LLP, you will be responsible for providing docketing support to the Intellectual Property Practice Group. This includes managing patent and trademark docketing and deadlines, as well as assisting with new client intakes and transfers. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of prior IP docketing experience and a thorough understanding of domestic and foreign patent and trademark prosecution and lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities:
· Calendaring important dates related to patent and trademark filings, formalities, office actions, and maintenance fees · Downloading electronic correspondence from USPTO, foreign patent offices, and foreign agents and filing it into our document management system · Circulating incoming correspondence to the appropriate attorney teams · Preparing standard and custom docket reports · Proactively monitoring deadlines to ensure timely compliance · Reviewing docketing database and updating as needed · Assisting with new client intakes and transfers · Participating in team meetings and providing back-up support to other docketers
Qualifications:
· High school diploma · At least 3 years of prior IP docketing or related work experience · Thorough understanding of domestic and foreign patent and trademark prosecution and lifecycles · Familiarity with USPTO and WIPO · Knowledge of docketing terminology, best practices, and patent and trademark laws · Experience with docketing databases, preferably Patricia · Familiarity with patent and trademark office websites such as EFS-Web, Public PAIR, Private PAIR, and TEAS · Strong computer skills and ability to analyze data · Attention to detail, time management skills, problem-solving mindset, and collaborative spirit
