Job Description
The Law Firm is seeking a Human Resources Manager with at least 4 years of experience in human resource management or a related field. This position will be responsible for all firm-wide human resource functions, including resource planning, recruitment, performance evaluations, disciplinary procedures, benefits and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a law firm, and hold a SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR or PHR certification. H2: Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all human resource functions for the firm, including policy evaluation and improvement recommendations - Manage firm recruiting, hiring, development, and retention programs in compliance with state and federal regulations - Determine staffing needs and maintain benchmarked ratios and trends - Supervise non-exempt personnel to ensure firm expectations are being met - Handle employee relations and conflict resolution - Ensure compliance with leave of absence requests - Coordinate with payroll and benefits coordinator on benefit plans - Maintain updated job descriptions and specifications for support staff - Keep managing partners and chief human resources officer informed and assist with reports and financial analysis - Additional responsibilities as assigned by the chief human resources officer or managing partners
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field - 4 years of experience in human resource management with a legal or professional service organization - Ability to analyze complex issues and recommend solutions - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional relationships - Knowledge of law firm services, policies, and procedures - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft software
