POSITION OVERVIEW: The primary responsibility of the Host Casino - Asian Marketing is to maximize customer development (new and existing) including prospecting, promotions, events, and additional customer relationship management activity.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: *Sets and maintains high standards of service and practices throughout the property. *Works closely with Executive Director Asian Marketing to maintain positive working environment. *Responds to customer requests, concerns, and complaints in a timely and complete manner. *Works proactively with other departments within marketing and with other divisions at The Venetian and The Palazzo. *Focuses on team member acquisition and retention program to include benefits, communication, compensation, and incentive program individually as needed. *Balances the need for financial control with need to remain consistent with The Venetian's standards and values. *Clearly communicates daily the goals to be achieved in marketing by all subordinates. *Diligently focuses on customer development (new and existing) including prospecting, promotions, events, and additional customer relationship management activity. *Assists with collections and player management. *Is continuously aware of current and forecast financial/business performance and is actively involved in analyzing and implementing required changes. *Assess, evaluate and review playing habits of key customers of casino or gaming areas. *Meet the needs of these customers to encourage play and length of stay. *Monitor overall play and review which comps may enhance length of stay or entice repeat business. *Focus is on developing new customers and retaining existing customers who bring business to the property. *Possess skills to hasten resolution, assess course of action, and implement or take action based upon findings. *Safety is an essential function of this job. *Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job. *Performs other related duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: *21 years of age. *Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States. *High school Diploma or equivalent. *Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Registration, Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. *5-7 years executive host experience dealing with high Asian clientele. *Previous experience with a Las Vegas Strip casino preferred. *Must demonstrate extensive knowledge of high end casino clientele pay habits and preferences. *Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience. *Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. *Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned. *Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation. *Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts. *Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts. *Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel. *Work in a fast-paced and busy environment. *Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
