Purpose of Role:

As a Healthcare Litigation Attorney at a prestigious law firm, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in healthcare law to represent medical professionals in professional liability and employment lawsuits. This is a full-time position located in our Roseland, NJ office, offering a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities:

Handle healthcare litigation proceedings, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court and arbitration.
Provide legal advice to clients and develop and execute legal strategies.
Stay up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations.
Take a lead role in certain healthcare matters and provide thorough research and analysis.
Manage matters from start to finish and support other business units as needed.
Identify legal and compliance issues and offer effective solutions.
Communicate with the Department Chair as needed to escalate issues.
Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare law and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
Must be a member of the NJ bar, with NY admission preferred.
7 years of experience in healthcare law.
Prior experience as a healthcare-centric prosecutor is a plus.
Strong preference for candidates with hospital, health system, or pharmacy experience.
Knowledge of telemedicine, Medicare/Medicaid fraud, and health reform issues.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Team player with strong ethics and judgment.
Highly intelligent and adaptable.
