SUMMARY Eagle Eye Electric at Langley Air Force Base, VA is seeking a qualified HVAC I Technician. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform needed preventive maintenance on the hvac equipment we have under contract at LAFB Assist HVAC III techs when needed Report to supervisor work that may need to be done not covered in preventive maintenance QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION Required (Minimum) Qualifications Must be able to pass an extensive back ground check Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation Should own the tools needed to perform maintenance on the equipment High school education or equivalent Must be able to pass drug screening Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of basic HVAC systems Good mechanical skills Ability to lift and carry weights up to 75 lbs.’ Ability to work with little supervision Preferred HVAC journeyman’s license 5 years’ experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job is performed inside mechanical rooms, in outdoor areas, in the overhead area of buildings, in basements and in attics. Must be able to work off of ladders. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No supervisory responsibilities. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. The work hours are M-F 6:30am to 3:30pm. Some after hours or weekend work may be required. This is a IBEW union job and you will be paid on their scale. The contract period for this job is 03/31/2018 thru 01/31/2019 and can be extended by the Air Force.
