This position supports training for Carilion's life support education throughout the organization. Must be able to train multiple days per week and assist with material preparations/scheduling/field support and other training tasks as needed.
Opportunity for motivated individual with background in training and/or patient care. Prefer 3-5 years of previous training experience; candidate must demonstrate strong training skills and be comfortable facilitating to varied audiences. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Training demonstration required.
Must have the ability to understand details of life support education and deliver instructional materials/training in a way that promotes learning and engagement. Effective consulting, and project management skills preferred. Preference for candidates who enjoy a fast-paced environment and are flexible and adaptive as needs changes. Experience in a hospital or physician practice setting (clinical or support staff) and familiarity with current trends in Healthcare IT preferred.

EDUCATION/CORPORATE UNIVERSITY COE ONLY: May accept two specialized certifications in lieu of a Bachelor's degree: AHA BLS instructorship certification and at least one other AHA life support discipline instructorship certification.
EXPERIENCE:3-5 years of general HR/related experience required. Experience within specialized area strongly preferred. Completion of a Master's degree in a related field with demonstrated relevant experience may substitute for experience requirement.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: AHA provider or instructor certification(s). HR Certification (PHR, CEBS, etc) preferred.
OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: Must possess excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Demonstrated analytical thinking and interpersonal skills. Must work well in a team environment and have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Lawson knowledge preferred. Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work on multiple tasks/projects while meeting deadlines and being flexible in an environment of changing priorities.
