Responsibilities:
As a Local Government Attorney, you will be responsible for representing local government bodies such as villages, cities, school districts, park districts, townships, and library districts in day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Providing legal advice and counsel to local government bodies Drafting and reviewing contracts, ordinances, resolutions, and other legal documents Representing clients in administrative and judicial proceedings Conducting legal research and staying updated on relevant laws and regulations Collaborating with other attorneys and support staff within the Local Government Practice Group
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:
Illinois bar license Some experience in representing local government bodies Attention to detail and great administrative hygiene Ability to work well in a team environment Excellent work ethic
