JOB SUMMARY

Based in Roanoke, VA, our community-based health care organization encompasses a comprehensive network of hospitals, primary and specialty physician practices, and other complementary services.
Provide genetic evaluation and counseling services to patients, significant others and/or family members with, or at risk for, medical genetic disorders, congenital anomalies. Serve as a consultant and educator for the physician practices, **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, and community partners

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling from an American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) accredited program required.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in genetic counseling through graduate school internships. New grads encouraged to apply.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling as a Genetic Counselor required.
OTHER: Demonstrated clinical, counseling, interpersonal, analytical, communication skills. Demonstrated skills in patient assessment. Computer data entry skills and computer knowledge to include but not limited to Microsoft word, PowerPoint, excel, and electronic medical records required. Must provide own transportation. Occasional meetings outside of Clinic hours
