About the role This is an opportunity for a safety focused professional with MC & Dangerous Goods license to join our team operating from our Kwinana Beach location. The role of General Yard Driver / Delivery Driver will see you working from the Depot as well as completing ad-hoc deliveries to supplier sites and customers. This role incorporates multiple tasks with manual labour therefore, the successful candidates must also be able to safely complete physical tasks. In this varied and interesting role, your key responsibilities will include: Being proactive about reporting near misses, all risks, hazards, incidents and accidents. Movement of fleet both internally and to / from maintenance suppliers. Working closely with the Fleet Maintenance team assisting with tasks as trained and deemed competent. Completion of loading and delivery of LPG, LNG or other gas products as trained and deemed competent, in accordance with your delivery schedules in a secure, safe and efficient manner. Vehicles driven will range from rigid through to semi and road train combinations Depending on business priorities the role will entail varying percentages time on yard duties/local fleet movements assisting maintenance and general operational requirements. Local time may be part days, days or blocks of time. Ensuring all vehicles are maintained by completing daily pre-start and road worthiness checks, reporting all defects and ensuring equipment is washed and cleaned regularly. Completing all relevant paperwork and electronic tablet activities in an accurate and timely manner. To excel in the role you’ll need the right mix of skills and experience, which for this position means: In possession of a valid Multi Combination licence (MC). Hold a Dangerous Good licence. A good understanding of dangerous goods safety legislation. A commitment to workplace safety and ability to identify and monitor your fatigue management. A willingness to learn new skills be that handling various gas products through to minor mechanical and technical tasks. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team. The ability to work and commit to variable hours and occasional weekend work.
