Plunkett Cooney, one of the largest and most accomplished law firms in the Midwest, is currently seeking two General Litigation/Transportation attorneys to join their team in either the Detroit or Bloomfield Hills office. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced and versatile attorneys who have a client-centric philosophy and thrive in complex environments.
Here are the qualifications and requirements for the position:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation law and litigation practice - Proficiency in independently handling litigation matters such as commercial litigation, premises liability, general negligence, property damage, construction, and/or personal injury - Experience with Michigan No-Fault, Third Party & Commercial Auto Liability, and Network Transportation Claims - Strong skills in all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, taking depositions, and arguing motions - Excellent research, legal brief writing, and communication skills - Demonstrated experience in general litigation motion writing and courtroom oral skills - Proven ability to manage client relations with increasing responsibility - Strong analytical, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills - J.D. from an ABA-approved law school - Active membership in the State Bar of Michigan and in good standing

The role will involve significant client contact and the ability to work independently. Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills are a must.
