Thornbury Law Firm Seeks Experienced Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Mental Capacity Solicitor
Thornbury Law Firm is currently seeking an experienced Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Mental Capacity Solicitor with at least 5 years PQE to join our highly regarded team. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the largest teams in the South West, recommended in the Legal 500 2025 rankings.
As a Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Mental Capacity Solicitor, you will have a range of experience advising private clients on matters such as Wills, probate, wealth preservation, and succession planning. While full STEP membership and SFE accreditation are desirable, they are not essential for this role.
We offer an excellent salary and benefits package, and our office is located in the beautiful town of Thornbury. Our working hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, providing a healthy work-life balance for our employees.

- Provide expert advice to private clients on Wills, probate, wealth preservation, and succession planning - Manage a caseload of complex matters with a high level of autonomy - Build and maintain strong client relationships - Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations - Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years PQE as a Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Mental Capacity Solicitor - Experience advising private clients on a range of matters including Wills, probate, wealth preservation, and succession planning - Full STEP membership and SFE accreditation preferred - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
