• Ability to immediately manage a base of franchise clients independently and responsibly in collaboration with the team. • Strictly transactional and regulatory work. • Franchisor representation includes franchise disclosure and registrations, drafting Franchise Agreements and related documents; franchise relationship issues: renewals, transfers, defaults and terminations; franchise law compliance (client counseling, training programs); response to government inquiries. • Franchisee representation includes review of Franchise Disclosure Document and Franchise Agreement, counsel re same and negotiation of agreements for prospective franchisees, and franchise agreement renewals, transfers of franchise businesses and relationship issues with franchisor for existing franchisees.
H2: Qualifications
• Must be admitted to practice in State of Illinois • Must have franchise law experience • Experience representing franchisors required • Experience representing franchisees preferred • Other transactional business law experience a plus • Experience with and desire for direct client contact • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Detail oriented; excellent organizational skills • High level of commitment to high quality work products and service to clients
